Although we are a fairly new presence, FRC Melville is committed to getting involved with our local communities.
Christian Religious Education (CRE)
This is a values education program run by YouthCARE (WA) and carried out by trained Christian Religious Education volunteer teachers. The teachers teach primary school students about Christian beliefs and values, as well as values that are shared in our society. Several FRC Melville members are currently involved in the program, but there is an ongoing need for teachers and volunteers. Please contact us if you wish to be involved.
Melville Outreach Choir
The Outreach Choir performs every second Sunday afternoon at retirement homes within the vicinity of Melville. The group offer fellowship, singing and deliver an accompanying enlightening message to the ageing members of our community. Click on the title link to see the next event details. If you are interested in arranging the Melville choir to sing at an aged care venue, please call Simon Steenhof (0408 441 659)
Melville Mums (M-Mums)
A few mothers at FRC Melville meet informally at a park or child-friendly cafe, on a monthly basis, and is a great way to connect with other young mothers in our community to discuss the challenges and rewards of motherhood, family and Christian fellowship. If you are a young mother who is interested in meeting people in an informal session, click on the title link for the next event details – why not contact us?
FRC Melville Annual Christmas Carols
Every December, FRC Melville host a Christmas Carols evening with an open invitation to family, friends, workmates and members of the community. Outreach starts with friendships and building relationships with those in our immediate sphere of influence! It is a lovely evening outside on the grounds of the Piney Lakes Reserve.
